BELMARC

According to the order of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus on August 18, 2006 № 193, the Belarusian communicative format for bibliographic records in machine-readable form (BELMARC) and the Belarusian communicative format of the authoritative/regulatory records in machine-readable form (BELMARC/Authorities) are recommended as exchange formats for bibliographic and authority records for the libraries that participate in shared cataloging, as well as formats for storing records in a consolidated electronic catalog and in the national database of authority records.
